Mr. Poirier is a professional performer with a Fine Arts degree from Ryerson Theatre School and is an Honours recipient in Film Performance from Humber College. Some of his professional theatre credits include: Opening Night (Quebec Art Center, 2015), The Shoemaker and His Wife (Little Red Theatre, 2014-15), Projet Actif (Mixed Company Theatre, 2013-14), Starting Over (Bad Dog Theatre, 2012), Hometown (Blyth Theatre Festival, 2011), Twelfth Night (Ruckus Magazine, 2010). Some of his TV credits include V-Wars (Netflix Original Television, 2018) and Carter (Sony Pictures Television, 2018). His feature film credits include: Astonishing Tales of Terror: Rocktapussy! (Good Soldier Films, 2022), Project Ithaca (Universal Pictures, 2019), and he secured a principal role in acclaimed bilingual film Noel En Boite (Distinct Features & SandBay Entertainment, Inc., 2018). Mr. Poirier is the founder and Artistic Director of Porchlight Theatre Company. He has produced many successful productions and coaches new performers.

With several years of experience as a Board Director and Board Chair, we are pleased to welcome Theresa to the role of Vice President with Porchlight Theatre Company. Theresa’s experience in policy development, marketing, promotion, fundraising, stage management and acting provides a balanced and comprehensive understanding of the demands and challenges of community-based theatre. Theresa will support Porchlight's governance and marketing initiatives.

Teresa comes to Porchlight with over a decade of experience in leadership roles, including numerous executive board positions. She brings a keen interest in storytelling, theatre, and the creative process. She was props master, wardrobe supervisor, and backstage manager for Porchlight's production of Clue.

Bonny has been an important and indeed invaluable part of our theatrical community in the Greater Sudbury Area since she's assisted in various successful productions with Valley Community Theatre, Inc. several years ago. With her dedication to the technique of process, her undeniable curiosity and open heart for everyone involved, she quickly became stage manager and helped to deliver a sold out special New Years' Eve event directed by Mr. Poirier. She now has many shows under her belt and looks forward to many more with our company. A bright 'porchlight' that keeps guiding us home.

Karen is a retired healthcare worker who has been involved in theatre productions in Sudbury over the last dozen years, starting as a stage Mom for her son. This is Karen’s third year on the Board of Porchlight Theatre Company. She has been involved with The Crucible, Angels in America and most recently as stage manager for CLUE on Stage.

Kayla dabbled in theatre during high school and was a board member for the Valley Community Theatre. She stepped away from the stage lights for a few years to establish her career. Soon enough, those lights came calling and she decided join Porchlight’s executive board and manage their website. Who knows, maybe you’ll see her back on stage soon.
